THREE WAWA MALES CHARGED WITH BREAK AND ENTER

(WAWA, ON) – On Saturday September 9, 2017 at approximately 1:00 pm members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment responded to a Wawa address regarding a break and enter incident. At the scene police interviewed all witnesses. Investigation revealed that the residence had been broken into by 3 local males.

As a result the following people have been charged:

Bryan Michel GODBOUT, 20 years of age, of Wawa, Ontario, was charged with:

  • Adult Break and Enter a Dwelling house with intent to commit an Indictable offence contrary to section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada,

David Wilkins Jr LANGILLE, 19 years of age, of Wawa, Ontario, was charged with:

  • Adult Break and Enter a dwelling house with intent to commit Indictable offence contrary to section 348(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada,

Dishawn STEWARD, 19 years of age, of Wawa, Ontario, was charged with;

  • Adult Break and Enter a Dwelling house with intent to commit an Indictable offence contrary to section 348(1) (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

All accused were released from custody and are to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Wawa, Ontario on October 16, 2017.

 

OPP CHARGE HORNEPAYNE MAN WITH DRUG OFFENCE

(WAWA, ON) – On Saturday September 9, 2017, at approximately 11:30 am members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Hornepayne Detachment had occasion to investigate and interview a local Hornepayne male. During the investigation police located a quantity of marihuana.

As a result Justin DUBE-STINSON aged 22 of Hornepayne, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offence:

  • Adult Possession of a Schedule II Substance- Cannabis Marihuana- Under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.

The accused was released from custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Hornepayne Ontario on December 7, 2017.

 

LOCAL MAN CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On September 9, 2017 at 4:24 p.m., the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members received a call of a motor vehicle being driven by a possible impaired male driver. The vehicle was observed just south of the City of Elliot Lake.

Police stopped the vehicle a short time later and spoke to the male driver.  A strong odour alcohol was detected emanating from his breath. Subsequently, the male was arrested and his driver’s license suspended.

Michael LEVESQUE, 36 years of age, from Elliot Lake, was charged with:

  • Driving with more than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC)

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on October 3, 2017.
