CSCNO and AEFO (Unité 61) reach tentative local agreement


The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) and Unité 61 of the Association des enseignantes et des enseignants franco-ontariens (AEFO) reached a tentative local agreement on Saturday, January 9, 2016. Both parties agree to ratify the deal by January 27, 2016. “We thank all parties involved in the negotiations. Both negotiating teams were greatly motivated by a common desire to reach a local agreement, which included fair and equitable working conditions that reflect the priorities of both parties,” stated CSCNO President André Bidal. Mrs. Lyse-Anne Papineau, CSCNO Director of Education, confirms that discussions took place in a professional and respectful environment.  “I want to acknowledge that both committees displayed a great deal of respect and professionalism during the negotiation process. » The terms of the local agreement remain confidential until it is ratified.
