Under the leadership of Dorothy and Richard Macnaughton, CAPT is holding a book sale in the Centre Court at the Station Mall from Thursday evening, March 3 to Saturday, March 5th until mall closing. They will begin to sell books Thursday, March 3 in the evening.
If you would like donate books, CDs, or DVDs; remember that all proceeds will help CAPT to help cover their expenses as we work towards improved and increased passenger service for everyone in the Algoma District. Books can be picked up ahead of time by Dorothy and Richard (705-759-0733), if that works best, or you can deliver them directly to the mall during the sale, preferably Thursday between 5 and 8. Donations of books, CDs, or DVDs are much appreciated so that CAPT can raise funds to help cover expenses as we work towards improved and increased passenger service for everyone in the Algoma District.
Set up at the mall will begin at 5 p.m. on March 3rd. At this time, there will be tables set up at the Centre Court. As the boxes arrive at the mall, there will be identified categories on the tables where books will be placed. Boxes are ideally placed on the floor near the appropriate category. Any unsorted books can be put where they belong quite easily. Richard and Dorothy and Donna and Mark Cushley can assist people who will be helping so they will know where to put boxes or books.
If you can volunteer some time, assistance is required at the Food Court of the Station Mall:
- Thursday, March 3rd from 5 – 8 p.m.
- Friday, March 4th from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and
- Saturday, March 5th from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and
- Saturday, March 5th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. (to help pack up the remaining books)
Please contact Lauren Doxtater at 705 949 2301 [email protected] to let her know when you can help even if it is just for a couple hours.
Any materials that remain will go to the Garden River and Thessalon First Nations Libraries.
