On Friday February 26, 2016, members of the SE OPP Wawa responded to a motor vehicle collision located on Highway 17 in the Brimacombe Township. At the scene officers observed a single motor vehicle in the ditch with severe damages. Officers reported that during the investigation a large quantity of electronic devices were located within the motor vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that the items had previously been reported stolen from a business in Regina, Saskatchewan. As a result police arrested and charged: Desmond Lomonte WALLACE, Richard Alfred KAMARA, Salem KOUDIA, Kudzai MUGADYA, and Simon Jiel UGUAK.
The charged were taken into custody for Bail Hearing in the Sault on Monday, February 29, 2016.
The accused were then transported back to Regina in regards to a robbery at a Rogers store in which four masked suspects entered the store, demanded merchandise. An employee was assaulted, and taken to the back of the store and secured, and the suspects left the store with a substantial amount of electronics. The five men were expected to make their first appearance in Saskatchewan Provincial Court yesterday, March 9th, 2016.
