FEMALE CHARGED WITH OVER 80
(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On May 7, 2016, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on regular patrol duties in the City of Elliot Lake.
At 8:20 p.m. police came upon a single motor vehicle collision in the Amsterdam and Edinburg Roads area. As a result of the investigation, the officer determined the driver had been consuming alcoholic beverage and the driver was arrested.
Sally Louise WIER, 65 years of age, from Elliot Lake, Ontario was charged with:
- Driving with More than 80 milligrams of Alcohol in Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code.
The accused is scheduled to appear the Ontario Court of Justice in Elliot Lake on June 7, 2016.
DOG RUNNING AT LARGE – OWNER CHARGED
(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On May 7, 2016, at 7:27p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an animal complaint at the Elliot Lake Secondary School track area in the City of Elliot Lake.
As a result of the investigation it was found that an unleased dog attacked another dog in the school track area.
A 13 year old female from Elliot Lake was issued an Elliot Lake by-law notice for the offence of:
- Dog Running at Large, contrary to section 12(15) of By-Law Number 10-60.
Police are asking dog owners to leash your pets when out in public and to also, familiarize yourselves with the City’s animal by-laws.
