We are now closer to the Legion Golf Tournament and it looks everything at the Branch is ready for Saturday June 18 and we have to thank those sponsors who have already come forward with their support. And I am sure there will be enough volunteers as this is always a special Day.
And talking about volunteers. I stopped by the Branch last Friday and Our TGIF dinner was just about to take off. I have heard that the meal was really good and we even had a special bartender Kristie who did her first Volunteering. Good for You Girl. I enclose a picture with the whole group.
Next Thursday June 9th we have our last meeting before summer recess and we hope to see many members there before you are going to Camp and I think there is going to be rain LOL!!
Here are the winners of last Saturdays cribbage 1st. Carol and Joan, 2nd. Guy and Chris, 3rd. Sandra and Alma and boobs were Erin and Irene. and 24 hand Donna.
A golfer had a bad day and called it quits, and while walking to the clubhouse he was met by a policeman who asked him… “Did you slice your shot on hole 16?
So the golfer asked “Yes, but why do you want to know?”
So the Policeman said, “Your ball went trough the trees, hit a car on the highway and the driver lost control and hit 4 more vehicles including a fire truck.
So the fire truck was late to put out a blaze and a whole house burnt down to the ground!
So what are you going to do about this?”
So the golfer thought for a minute and answers, “I think I am going to step closer to the ball and change my stance a little closer!”
To all our Comrades sick at home, in the hospital or nursing homes you are in our thoughts and prayers and we wish you well.
