Performing artist Carmen Campagne will bring her interactive show to a number of Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario (CSCNO) schools between June 14 and June 20. During her Northern Ontario tour, Carmen Campagne, who is celebrated for hits like “Un bon chocolat chaud” and “La moustache à papa” will have the pleasure of spurring hundreds of students to sing and dance. Members of the media are invited to attend the performances.
The following CSCNO schools will host the Carmen Campagne presentation at the dates and times shown below.
École Saint-Joseph (Wawa): Tuesday, June 14, at 1 p.m.
École Saint-Joseph (Blind River): Wednesday, June 15, at 10 a.m.
École Notre-Dame (Hanmer): Thursday, June 16, at 10 a.m.
École Jean-Paul II (Val Caron): Thursday, June 16, at 1:30 p.m.
École Ste-Marie (Azilda): Monday, June 20, at 9:30 a.m.
École St-Denis (Sudbury): Monday, June 20 at 1:30 p.m.
Teacher and author-singer-songwriter Carmen Campagne rose to fame among children throughout the Francophonie during the 1990s. Known as the Kids’ Diva, her albums have sold more than a million copies in France and in Canada and she won the best children’s album Félix award four times, as well as taking home a Juno and, in the United States, a Parent’s Choice Award.
Carmen Campagne recently released a new album entitled “Sur la ferme de grand-père” (On grandpa’s farm). In this 16th recording, she returns to her first love – kids and the joy of singing for them. Her new show will draw children into a veritable whirlpool of song.
The Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario offers a French Catholic Educational Program that is widely recognized for its excellence. The CSCNO provides a quality learning environment and academic program that runs from early childhood to adult education, with some 7,000 students in 27 elementary and 10 secondary schools.
