Michipicoten High School 2015/2016 Graduation

1

Another year is over, and a new graduating class has left the halls of Michipicoten High School. Graduation was held on Wednesday, June 29th with 23 Grads in attendance. We were honoured to have Algoma District School Board Director Lucia Reese and Trustee Russell Reid in attendance. Mr. Brian Lachine gave a very motivating speech to get the Grads ready for the next step in their lives and Valedictorians Lillian Smedley and Tyler Morgan finished off the speeches with some laughs and tears. Lillian Smedley, and Angelique Gauthier then performed a duet which brought the audience to their feet.

Once the awards portion started it was evident that Michipicoten High School is very fortunate to have so many sponsors who care enough about our students, and they want to help these students with their post secondary education. We are also honoured to have so many memorial bursaries; these honour people who made an impact on their families and on the town of Wawa, and in their memory, they continue to impact the lives of our students.

Listed below are the sponsors who help out every year, and to whom Michipicoten High School and its students are extremely thankful.
