From the Branch – August 10

So August looks like it is giving us MORE hot weather so those who can spend time at Camp or at the local beach. Those of my age will likely take it easy and stay cool and enjoy our decks or patios.

At the Branch, things look very quiet, but behind the scenes we are getting ready for our work which starts in September.
This day Being National Peace Keepers Day let us think of all those brave Canadians who did tours in Cyprus, Kosovo, The Golan Hights and other places, and those who are now deployed in Ukraine, Iraq and Syria. One of my grandsons is getting ready to do his part soon and I wish him well. My son and 2 more grandsons have done their tours.
This teacher explained to his class the physics of Hot and Cold  on materials, and explained that heat makes things expand and cold makes them shrink. So he asked the class if anyone had a example So Johnnie put up his hand and said, “Summer recess is 6 weeks and Christmas vacation only 2!”
To all our Comrades sick at home, in the hospital or nursing homes you are in our thoughts and prayers and we wish you well.
