16′ Boat Stolen from Quirke Lake

(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – Members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a theft of a boat that occurred between August 11, 2016 and August 15, 2016 in the City of Elliot Lake.

Unknown person(s) stole a 16 foot, 2006 bow rider Mirrocraft Holiday aluminum boat with a 50 horsepower Yamaha motor (4stroke) off of Quirke Lake.  At the time, the boat was moored in the water in front of the Seniors Citizen Park off of Pine Mine Road.  The boat is two tone, top half is black in color with the Mirrocraft decal on the stern and the bottom is cream/ivory color.

The boat’s trailer was left at the scene.  The suspect(s) may have driven the boat away, possibly put it on a different trailer and removed it from the lake. The total value of the boat is over $5000.
