RAIN AT TIMES HEAVY IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST INTO SUNDAY. TOTAL AMOUNTS OF 40 TO 60 MILLIMETRES ARE LIKELY. THE BULK OF THE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO FALL TONIGHT. THE RAIN WILL TAPER OFF SUNDAY LATE AFTERNOON. THIS RAINFALL IS ASSOCIATED WITH A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM THAT IS FORECAST TO TRACK ACROSS NORTHEASTERN ONTARIO TONIGHT AND SUNDAY.

HEAVY DOWNPOURS CAN CAUSE FLASH FLOODS AND WATER POOLING ON ROADS. LOCALIZED FLOODING IN LOW-LYING AREAS IS POSSIBLE. RAINFALL WARNINGS ARE ISSUED WHEN SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL IS EXPECTED.
