On August 31, 2016, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) re-attended a residence on Indiana Street in the Town of Blind River.
A male who was arrested and charged a day prior for uttering threats was released on conditions not to communicate and not to attend the female’s residence. Shortly after 3:00 p.m. the male was parked outside her residence and began yelling at her.
As a result, Ross HEFFERN, 48 years of age, was arrested and charged with:
- Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by an Officer in Charge (X2), contrary to section 145(5.1) of the Criminal Code.
The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie on September 1, 2016.
