The governments of Canada and Ontario have announced funding for 35 projects in communities across the province under the New Building Canada Plan’s Small Communities Fund (SCF). Both Patricia A. Hadju, Federal Minister of Status of Women and Michael Gravelle, Ontario Minister of Northern Development and Mines made the announcement in Greenstone this morning.
The federal and provincial governments have each committed more than $44 million to the thirty-five projects, which have a total eligible cost of more than $141 million. Recipient communities will be responsible for the remaining project costs.
Wawa will receive $475,558 from the Province and the Government of Canada for a total of $951,116 for the Waste Disposal Site Expansion.
