On September 18, 2016, members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on general patrol duties in the Town of Blind River.
Shortly after 12:00 a.m., police observed a male on Woodward Avenue who was stumbling on the sidewalk. Police engaged in conversation with the male, and quickly realized the male was highly intoxicated. The male was arrested and lodged at Blind River detachment until he was sober.
Ronald PURDY, 54 years of age, from Mississauga, Ontario, was charged with: Being Intoxicated in a Public Place, contrary to section 31(4) of the Liquor Licence Act.
