Eight-year-old Ella, travelled from Blind River to Sault Ste. Marie to attend her very first concert this weekend. She attended the “An evening with the music of Garth Brooks featuring Great Northern Opry member Mark Tarantini”. She was surprised when she was presented with a backstage pass (Tshirt) from Tarantini. She toured the stage and met the band before the show started. She told us her favourite Garth Brooks song was “Rodeo”.
The crowd was fired up and the energy in the theatre was electric as “Great Northern Opry member” Mark Tarantini walked on the TECH stage to a full house. The Northern Ontario Country Music Association proudly presented “An evening with the music of Garth Brooks” this past Saturday night.
“I hope you got the memo, I do not have a cowboy hat on. This is not a tribute show. I am a fan of the Garth Brooks music just like all of you here, so let’s celebrate the music we love” Tarantini stated. The band was amazing, and images behind them changed to reflect each Garth song.
This is Tarantini’s fourth such production. He performed to two sold out Garth shows last year in Blind River, ON. As well as a similar production called “An evening with the music of John Denver” in February of 2014 at the Alain Bray Auditorium in Blind River.
