Small Fire Causes Delays South of Wawa Saturday night

Just after 9 p.m. Saturday night, the Wawa Volunteer Fire Department was called to what appeared to be a trailered generator or compressor burning on the shoulder, 10 kilometres south of Wawa (Line Lake area). The vehicle towing it had been disconnected and was safely parked a short distance away.

One lane was closed and officers from the Superior East OPP – Wawa Detachment were conducting traffic control. One lane was open, and the other was closed to allow the firefighters to work safely.

There should only be short delays, while firefighters are working, and until the remains are removed.
