Buffy Sainte-Marie to Share stories of her life and work – LiveStream

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) is presenting Buffy Sainte-Marie “Inspirational Talk: A life of activism”

Buffy Sainte-Marie will be sharing stories of her life and work this evening via livestream for those who cannot attend. Buffy Sainte-Marie is featured in the Museum’s exhibition of human rights defenders in the Rights Today gallery on Level 5.

From the CMHR website: “Since 1969, Buffy Sainte-Marie has operated the Nihewan Foundation for Native American Education, whose Cradleboard Teaching Project serves children and teachers worldwide, free and online. She will speak about this project, as well as her work to protect Indigenous intellectual property and to speak out against exploitation of Indigenous artists and performers.”

Buffy Sainte-Marie is featured in the Museum’s exhibition of human rights defenders in the Rights Today gallery on Level 5.

This talk is participatory and will include time for discussion.

This event will be live streamed at www.humanrights.ca from 7 – 8 p.m. CST.
