On Saturday, October 15, 2016, at approximately 5:30 pm members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment responded to a possible domestic incident in Wawa, Ontario. Police attended a local address where they located and interviewed a female party. Investigation revealed that an assault had earlier taken place where the female sustained physical injuries.
As a result, a 62-year-old Pic Mobert, Ontario man has been arrested and charged with the following offence;
- Adult Assault Causing Bodily Harm – Spousal contrary to section 267(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was held into custody for bail hearing.
