Living the reality of the First World War

0

As part of the grade 10 history course, four students from Blind River’s École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord displayed a great level of determination by digging a life-size model of a military trench as was commonly used in the First World War. Kyler Folz, Kale Goudreau, Brady Roberts and Spencer Roberts did not want to limit their project to the creation of a scaled-down model but wanted to dig a real-size military trench. The depth of their trench reached 2 metres.

This learning experience enabled students to become more familiar with the reality of the soldiers who fought in the First World War.
