Once again a group of local businesses is assisting the Wawa Community Food Bank
Dear Friend of the Food Bank:
An established Wawa tradition is continuing this year at the Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre in the main lounge thanks to our group of local businesses which includes SUBWAY, John’s Valu-mart, Canadian Tire, Calvary Church, JJAM FM and Tim Hortons, all of whom are again teaming up with Wawa Community Food Bank to assist in the Feed the Need event. This year we are delighted to welcome Roxy Bowling to our team.
On Sunday, November 27th, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., we will all be found at the Michipicoten Memorial Community Centre, giving customers a choice of a Subway offering with beverage from John’s Valu-mart and coffee from Tim Hortons in exchange for non-perishable items for the Food Bank. It promises to be another busy and cheerful day, with door prizes, mascots, and our talented local musicians playing.
Please note that this is our main fundraising opportunity. If you would like to make a financial donation to Wawa Community Food Bank this year, please let us know ahead of time by e-mailing us at [email protected] or you can provide your donation in person on the 27th. We would like to acknowledge and celebrate your contribution at the event. Cheques may be made out to Wawa Community Food Bank and mailed to Box 1065, Wawa, ON P0S 1K0 if you prefer.
We would appreciate your careful consideration of our request for assistance.
