Weather may get nasty – Freezing Rain for some, Snow for others

3:38 PM EST Thursday 17 November 2016
Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • White River – Dubreuilville

Rain will spread into the regions tonight and may change to snow in some locales through the overnight hours. By Friday morning, the precipitation is expected to change to freezing rain and ice pellets, which will then persist into Friday night.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports to #ONStorm.
