==DISCUSSION==
SNOW SQUALLS ARE EXPECTED. UNDER THE SNOW SQUALL BANDS, VISIBILITIES WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED DUE TO THE HEAVY SNOW COMBINED WITH BLOWING SNOW, AND SNOW WILL QUICKLY ACCUMULATE.
FLURRIES AND SNOW SQUALLS ARE OCCURRING OFF LAKE SUPERIOR AND WILL CONTINUE TODAY AND INTO TONIGHT.
SNOWFALL AMOUNTS UP TO 15 CENTIMETRES ARE LIKELY IN THE SNOW
SQUALLS. IN ADDITION, VERY STRONG AND GUSTY WINDS WILL WHIP UP THE FRESHLY FALLEN SNOW AND RESULT IN NEAR ZERO VISIBILITY IN BLOWING SNOW.
SNOW SQUALLS ARE NORTH OF MONTREAL RIVER THIS MORNING. HOWEVER THE SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL SHIFT TO MORE WESTERLY THIS AFTERNOON, BRINGING SNOW SQUALLS BACK INTO THIS REGION.
THE SNOW SQUALLS ARE EXPECTED TO SLOWLY WEAKEN TONIGHT.
VISIBILITY WILL BE SUDDENLY REDUCED TO NEAR ZERO AT TIMES IN HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW. TRAVEL IS EXPECTED TO BE HAZARDOUS DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITY. IF VISIBILITY IS REDUCED WHILE DRIVING, SLOW DOWN, WATCH FOR TAIL LIGHTS AHEAD AND BE PREPARED TO STOP. CONSIDER POSTPONING NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL UNTIL CONDITIONS IMPROVE. ROAD CLOSURES ARE POSSIBLE.
