LOTOSKI, Eddie William

Passed away peacefully at the Lady Dunn Health Centre on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at the age of 86 years. Loving and dear friend of Lucienne “Lucy” Lachapelle. Dear son of the late Stella and William Lotoski. Brother of Lois Lotoski and the late Alice Strand. Eddie will be fondly remembered by his very dear friend Roxanne Lloyd of Sault Ste. Marie and by his many friends in Wawa.

Friends are invited to visit at the P.M. Gilmartin Funeral Home Ltd. (140 Churchill Avenue, Wawa) on Monday, January 16, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. A spring interment will take place at Woodland Cemetery.

Lucy would like to thank Dr. C. Stamler, the nurses and all of the staff at the Lady Dunn Health Centre for the compassion, assistance and thoughtfulness in caring for Eddie.

  1. How sad that Wawa has lost another of its’ characters. It was a pleasure to know Eddie. After I bought the building he was born in, 37 Broadway, he often dropped into the office to chat. He always had a joke, not always appropriate. I have missed him since I left and will always remember him as one of Wawa’s pioneers. My sincerest condolences to Lucy.

  2. I stand corrected. Eddie was born in the Sault and moved into the building on Broadway at age 3. Oh, if those walls could talk like Eddie could, what gems they would reveal.

  3. Lucy
My sincerest condolences! I got to know Eddie when I was a teenager working at Mariette’s – he would come in and have a coffe and chat…I loved his sense of humor…he would always make time to stop and talk anytime I ran in to him over the years. He will definitely be missed!

  4. RIP Eddie. Thinking back so many many years of all the great times we have enjoyed together.
Early years around the restaurant, working years at the Plant, hard work as well as the great times during our years as Firemen, our many chit chats during our retirement years.
    Our sincere condolences Lucy.
