The 2017 Curling season is well under way and there is a lot going on in the local curling rink. The Wawa Curling Club currently has 9 men’s teams playing on Monday night, 12 ladies teams playing on Tuesday night, and 8 mixed teams playing on Thursday evening.
In February, École St. Joseph will be hosting a regional high school curling play down! We are super excited to see the next generation of curlers enjoying this unique game.
The curling bonspiel season is just around the corner. If you are interested in trying your hand at curling, please do not hesitate to join us for the Wawa Mixed Bonspiel, scheduled for February 24 and 25th. For more information on this bonspiel please contact Tom Terris.
Some local young curlers will be attending an open youth funspiel on March 11th held at the Soo Curlers in Sault Ste. Marie. A coaching clinic is also taking place in Sault Ste. Marie on March 24 to 26th. For more information, please contact Amanda Huff.
