A Frosty Night Ahead

0

It’s that time of year where it can get quite chilly overnight, and apparently that could happen over the next few nights as High Pressure sits over the great lakes area.

The cool air has prompted Environment Canada to issue the following advisory:

Frost advisory in effect for:

Wawa – Pukaskwa Park
White River – Dubreuilville

Blind River – Thessalon
Espanola – Killarney

Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost.

An Arctic high pressure area will bring clear skies and light winds to parts of Ontario tonight. As a result, frost is expected as temperatures drop to near the freezing mark.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
