Wawa Municipal Office

Water Tower Project

The Water Tower project has been delayed to September 25th. During the period of Sept 25th until early November, the Mission will be on main supply and the tower will be off.

There will be construction on the Michipicoten River Village Water Tower throughout the month of September 2017. Please be aware of all construction equipment during this time. You may experience a decrease in water pressure during this project.

If you have any questions please feel free to call the Infrastructure Services Department at 856-2244 ext. 251.

The Infrastructure Services Department would greatly appreciate your cooperation during this time.

Marina Repairs

Please note a change in the repair schedule at the Harry McCluskie Municipal Marina. Due to favorable circumstances, the repairs to slips 1 through 3 have been completed faster than anticipated. As such, the Municipality has opened these slips effective immediately.

There will also be further repairs to a concrete base on slip 2 as well as the water and power hookups on slips 1 and 2. These repairs will be completed intermittently over the month of September, with all repairs to slips 1 and 2 completed by October 1st.

Effective immediately, the Municipality will be closing Slip 4 for repair for an indefinite amount of time. Slip 4 will be undergoing repairs with an unknown completion date.

We appreciate your cooperation during this time.

Alex Patterson, Director of Community Services and Tourism
