Snow squall warning in effect for:
Agawa – Lake Superior Park
Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay
Snow squalls will affect areas east of Lake Superior today. Local snowfall amounts of up to 15 cm or so are likely by evening.
Gusty northwest winds to 70 km/h will likely give blowing snow reducing visibilities significantly.
Conditions will slowly improve this evening as the snow squalls move southward out of the region.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Snow squall warnings are issued when bands of snow form that produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.
