Snow Squall Warning In Effect For:
Searchmont – Montreal River Harbour – Batchawana Bay
Snow squalls are expected. Under the snow squall bands, visibilities will be significantly reduced due to the heavy snow, and snow will quickly accumulate.
Lake effect snow squalls from Lake Superior are expected to persist today.
Reduced visibility to near zero at times and local snowfall accumulations of 10 to 15 centimeters per 12 hours are the main threat.
Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.
Snow squall warnings are issued when bands of snow form that produce intense accumulating snow or near zero visibilities.
