Snowfall warning in effect for:
Elliot Lake – Ranger Lake
Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.
Significant snow Monday afternoon and night.
A Colorado low is forecast to cross the lower Great Lakes for the start of the work week.
Snow is forecast to spread across portions of Northeastern Ontario beginning near midday on Monday. The snowfall will become heavier Monday afternoon and Monday night. Significant accumulations of 15 to 20 centimetres are likely. Local blowing snow may also develop Monday afternoon and Monday night.
Snow will taper off Tuesday morning for most areas. Some areas may see additional accumulations of up to 5 cm.
Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
