Two Males Arrested For Break In

On Thursday March 1, 2018 at approximately 1:19 a.m., officers from the Manitoulin-Espanola Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an alarm at a Community Centre on Government Road in Sable-Spanish Rivers Township, Ontario. Police searched the building and located a male hiding in one of the rooms.

As a result of the investigation a 17 year old male youth from Sagamok First Nation, Ontario has been charged with:

Break, Enter a Place with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC),
Possession of Break In Instruments contrary to section 351(1) of the CC,
Disguise with Intent contrary to section 351(2) of the CC.

Tyler GROULX, age 20, of Sagamok First Nation, Ontario has been charged with:

Break, Enter a Place with Intent to Commit Indictable Offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC),
Theft Under $5000, contrary to section 334(b) of the CC.
Both accused are scheduled to appear at the Provincial Court of Justice in Espanola on April 4, 2018. The youth cannot be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
