Postmedia invests in media platform for ‘modern cannabis enthusiasts’


TORONTO — Postmedia Network Inc. says it has made a strategic investment in a cannabis media platform.

Prohbtd runs a lifestyle website for “modern cannabis enthusiasts.”

It also offers cannabis companies services including original content, digital storytelling and premium marketing opportunities to help them reach and educate consumers about their products.

Postmedia says its investment allows it to exclusively partner with Prohbtd to showcase Prohbtd’s videos on The GrowthOp, its cannabis editorial brand, as well as other channels.

The two companies will work together to help cannabis companies shape their brand messaging.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
