Charges Laid in Blind River Break and Enter

(BLIND RIVER, ON) – On April 25, 2019 at approximately 7:30p.m., members of the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint of a break, enter and theft at a local motel.

While officers were investigating the break and enter they responded to a complaint of a person attempting to steal from another local business.

As a result of the investigation, Jasmine WRIGHT, a 30-year-old female with no-fixed-address was charged with the following:

·        Break, Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC); and

·        Theft Under $5000, contrary to section 334(b) of the CC; and

·        Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC

hargesShe was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Blind River on June 6, 2019.
