As first reported by SaultOnline.com /ONNtv last week, a fire completely destroyed a milking barn located in Laird Township. The fire broke out shortly after midnight on Thursday. Luckily, no one was hurt and the cows were all rescued and transported to a farm on St. Joseph Island for milking. No cause of the fire has been established.

Norland Farm is has been owned by Patrick, Jerry and Donna Connolly for more than 47 years who are devastated by the fire .

In order for the family to get back on their feet  a local gofundme campaign has begun with a goal of $10,000. So far just under $3,000 has been raised.

If you would like to help the family to rebuild their family business, you can donate HERE
