With the end of the academic year just around the corner, the CSC Nouvelon is profiling one remarquable graduate from each of its secondary schools.
Frédéric Houle, a grade 12 student at École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord in Blind River, stands out through his academic excellence. He gives generously of his time to school activities and uses his leadership qualities to motivate his peers to do likewise. He is involved in numerous sports and always encourages his teammates to do their utmost. Frédéric has won a number of medals and banners in Northern Ontario and province-wide competitions through his perseverance and dedication, and also took home the first OFSAA provincial badminton banner for his school.
He gives back to his community by volunteering at the Golden Birches Long-Term Care Centre, participating in fundraising for the North Shore Cruisers and hosting summer badminton clinics. His volunteer experience at Golden Birches has motivated Frédéric to enrol in a Université d’Ottawa nursing program.
