Two men dead after vehicle collides with moving train in Oxford, Ont.

OXFORD COUNTY, Ont. — Provincial police say two men have died after their vehicle collided with a train in Oxford County, Ont., on Sunday afternoon.

Police say they responded to the crash at about 3 p.m., along with Innerkip Fire Services and Oxford County paramedics.

Police say the driver of the vehicle died at the scene, while the passenger died after being taken to hospital.

Police say the train was travelling westbound on the rail line when it struck the car, which was travelling on George Street in the community of Innerkip.

An investigation is ongoing.
