(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) – On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, at approximately 8:56 p.m., members of the East Algoma Detachment responded to a pharmacy on Ontario Avenue in Elliot Lake for a report of an unwanted person.
The investigation has since revealed that a male had entered the pharmacy and attended at the pharmaceutical counter where the suspect spoke with the pharmacist. The suspect indicated to the pharmacist that he had a weapon and demanded hydromorphone. A quantity of medication was turned over to the suspect at which time he fled the store.
The suspect was last seen running southbound on Ontario Avenue.
The area was searched extensively, but the suspect was not located.
The suspect is described as:
- 6 feet tall
- Slim build
- Wearing dark jeans
- Grey hoodie
