Just a friendly reminder for everyone that Daylight saving time (DST) ended at 2:00 a.m. early this morning. If you haven’t done so already, set your clocks back and hour and take advantage of the extra time you lost last March.
Here in Canada, Daylight Saving Time started around the same time as the First World War in 1915. The thinking… an extra hour of daylight would mean less energy and coal used during resource scarce times and an increase in productivity. The federal government subsequently passed responsibility and recognition for DST to the provinces and territories shortly after the Second World War.
