It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Graham “John” Hodges in his 91ST year at the NSHN Blind River on November 3, 2019.
Beloved husband of Jean (nee Kerr-Taylor) of 61yrs. Loving father of Lynn (predeceased) Sam, Graham (Lisa). Cherished “Grumps” of Taylor (Kendall).
Predeceased by his parents Sidney and Winifred of England. Son in law of the late William and Vivian Kerr-Taylor. Survived by his siblings Jean (Oliver) and Brian (Julia) of England. Brother in law of Raymond (Molly), the late John (Jeannette), Yvonne (late Bob), the late Trevor (Annette) and Roy (Kim). Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
John will be remembered for his love of fishing. He shared many fishing stories over the years with family and friends. He especially enjoyed taking his boat out on Lake Lauzon and Dunlop Lake…many a bass was caught on these lakes.
An extra special thank you to Beth for going above and beyond with her care and compassion over the last few months, it was greatly appreciated. The family extends a special thank you to the nurses, Dr Barnes and Community Support Services at NSHN for their compassionate care.
As per John’s wishes cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at a funeral service on Saturday, November 9 at 11am at St. Saviours Anglican Church in Blind River with the Venerable Roberta Wilson-Garrett officiating. Luncheon in the church hall following services.
