Manitoulin OPP charge two for break and enter

(ESPANOLA, ON) – On December 3, 2019, at approximately 8:20 a.m., the Manitoulin Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle on Hoogeveen Road, Sables-Spanish Rivers Township.

As a result of the investigation, officers recovered two stolen ATV’s. They arrested and charged:

(1) Patrick HEELEY, 48-years-old, from Espanola, Ontario, with the following:

  • Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC).

(2) Christopher NEVILLE, 28-years-old, from Espanola with the following:

  • Enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC),
  • Possession property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada, contrary to section 354(1)(a) CC, and
  • Operation while prohibited under the CC, contrary to section 320.18(1)(a) CC.

Both accused are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on January 20, 2020 in Espanola, Ontario.
