There is currently a flash freeze warning in effect for the Sault Ste. Marie and St. Joseph Island areas. The Environment Canada forecast expects temperatures to fall rapidly early this evening.
Slush and any water from melted snow on streets and sidewalks will freeze quickly as the temperature drops below zero.
A sharp cold front is moving southeastward over Northeastern Ontario cooling temperatures by 10 degrees Celsius within an hour in many areas.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
