Snow squall watch in effect for:

Periods of brief but intense snowfall are expected. Visibilities will be rapidly reduced due to the heavy snow combined with blowing snow.

A snow squall is occurring this afternoon along a sharp cold front.

This cold front is moving southeastward and is currently located from near Cochrane to Elsas to Lochalsh. It is expected to reach Esker Lakes Provincial Park to Chapleau to Lake Superior Provincial Park around 6:00 PM EST.

Snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible by the time the cold front departs this evening.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
