Algoma Public Health: New Confirmed Case of COVID-19 in Algoma

Algoma Public Health is reporting a new COVID-19 case in a resident in the Algoma district. A male in his 50s was tested on March 28th with the results confirming positive for COVID-19. It is believed that the male contracted the virus due to close contact and currently in self-isolation.

All people who have travelled outside of Canada are directed to self-isolate for 14 days from their arrival in Canada.

The Public Health Agency of Canada posts information on COVID-19 exposures on flights, cruise ships and mass gatherings.
