(MASSEY, ON) – On April 19, 2020, at approximately 6:32 p.m., members of the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft at a residence in Massey. Police commenced an investigation.
On April 19, 2020, at approximately 9:38 p.m., members of the Manitoulin Detachment of the OPP responded to a break and enter at a residence in Massey.
As a result of the investigations, Brock OWL, 20-years-old, from Sagamok Anishnawbek First Nation, was arrested and charged with the following:
Break, enter dwelling house – commit indictable offence contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC),
Possession of a Schedule I substance – Opioid (other than heroin) contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA), and
Theft under $5000 contrary to section 334(b) of the CC.
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Espanola on July 20, 2020.
