As part of the Grade 11 World Religions class, students at École secondaire Saint-Joseph (Wawa) studied various rituals performed at baptism or marriage. They were able to identify the similarities as well as the differences between certain religions. With the support of their teacher Ms. Valérie Lévesque, the students simulated religious events, including a wedding ceremony, taking on different roles. These informative and fun ceremonies included sacred objects, costumes, music, prayers and more. Students learned that Christianity is a religion founded on the teaching, person and life of Jesus Christ and its traditions and beliefs are part of Catholic, Protestant, Anglican and Orthodox rituals.
