February ends today with one more day of “Spring-Like” weather before the Lion known as March comes roaring in.
A sharp contrast in temperatures behind a cold front will help produce strong winds as the front passes through the area tonight and into Monday.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement warning of strong winds of gusts to 80 km/h developing late Sunday.
To make matters worse, the cold front is expected to give us rounds of mixed precipitation ranging from freezing rain, rain then wet snow Sunday into Monday.
Temperatures will also nose-dive from plus 4c Sunday to -10c Sunday night into Monday.
