Ontario and Quebec premiers appeal to Trudeau for new measures to limit international travel

Earlier today the premiers of Ontario and Quebec issued a joint letter addressed to Prime Minister Trudeau asking him to strongly consider additional measures to reduce incoming international travel at both airports and Canada-U.S. border crossings.

Citing the growing number of COVID-19 cases attributed to variants of concern, the letter states new measures suggested should be put in place for as long as necessary, or until the risks of new variants presenting in Canada as a consequence of non-essential air and land travel can be effectively minimized.
